Finance & Call Centre Sector Study

Bradford & District Training & Enterprise Council (TEC) commissioned a study of the finance & call centre sector in its area with the following aims:
To define the structure of the industry in Bradford & District.
To examine recent and anticipated forces acting on the industry.
To gauge the impact of the industry on the local economy in terms of forward and backward linkages between the sector and other local businesses.
To map existing support in the sector.
To examine the needs of the industry to enhance its competitiveness.
To develop appropriate policy actions to ensure that the industry had the most effective benefits on the local economies and population of the District.
The study had the following methodology:
An analysis of Bradford & District TEC's employer database.
A quantitative telephone survey of employers.
Qualitative face-to-face interviews with large employers.
Qualitative face-to-face interviews with organisations that supported employers and/or employees within the sector.
