Families in Mind Evaluation

Funded by The Big Lottery’s Reaching Communities programme, Families in Mind supports parents/carers to develop understanding and resilience around their mental health. Managed by West Sussex Mind, it works in Adur, Worthing, Littlehampton and Bognor.With the support of an Expert by Experience, recruited specifically for the evaluation, I assessed how effectively Familes in Mind had achieved its intended aim and objectives. The evaluation also investigated unmet need, including needs arising from the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and associated restrictions.
My evaluation report made recommendations for how West Sussex Mind could build on the experience of the project to date, develop it and expand it. The evaluation outcomes are being used to inform a second Big Lottery funding bid.
